ABOUT HIGHLAND ENDURO CLUB
Everyone wants to be #1… but we really are! Highland Enduro Club is the best Endurance Motorcycling Club in the Highlands. How do we know? Because we say so! And if we’re that passionate about our club's drive, skill, passion and sportsmanship, then nothing else matters (except, of course, your support).
Affiliated to the SACU, the controlling body for motorcycle sport in Scotland, our aim is to organise and run, off-road motorcycling events in the North of Scotland specifically Enduro's and Hare and Hound championship events, with the possibility of Training days and fun scrambles in the future.

LOSSIE ENDURO
3rd & 4th April 2021
Fellow Competitors/Enthusiasts,
I am Jim Mair Chairman of the Highland Enduro Club Ltd. and I thought it would be a good idea to bring you up to speed with our plans for Rounds 1 and 2 of the Scottish Enduro Championships due to be run on the 3rd and 4th of April 2021. This event will be called the John Little Memorial Enduro and a new and grand trophy will be awarded to the overall winner of the two days. The winner will be in a different class each year and the idea is to give everyone a chance to win it over time. This year the winner will be from the Expert class.
We have been issued with an SACU permit and applied to FLS for permission to run the event. Until we can identify the exact route the permission will not be granted but we have been given the go ahead to enter the forest at controlled times to recce a route, and work has begun on this.
We have to adhere to Covid restrictions and this means progress is slower than we would like so the route might not be as adventurous as we would have liked. Our wish is that government restrictions revert to those in place when we successfully ran the H&H at Tain in the autumn.
In the event of the restrictions making it impossible to run the event in April we will endeavour to run it in May or June, but we are hoping and planning for the Easter weekend. We were going to try and convince FLS to allow camping but we have decided that it would not be prudent this year as trying to control Covid regulations at night would not be something the club could be held responsible for.
If things change we will issue an update but currently this is where we are.
These are the thoughts of Chairman Mair.

SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP HARE AND HOUND
Tain 25th October 2020
THE LONG WAIT IS OVER
By now our fledgling club should have hosted 3 Enduros and 2 Hare and Hound events in the 2020 Scottish Championship, but with all the current craziness in the world at this time the Enduro season has been cancelled without a single event taking place and the Hare and Hound Championship will only have a few rounds starting on 10th October at the excellent Tyningham venue being run by Ecosse XC, so we at the Club feel priviledged to be able to host one of the few events on the 25th October at Tain MX track.
OFFICIAL STUFF
The Club will be running the event in accordance with the Government and SACU guidelines to mitigate the risk of spreading Corona Virus. The SACU general guidance can be found at https://www.sacu.co.uk/covid-19/ with a specific section for Enduro/Hare and Hound Events. Please make yourself familiar with what to expect.
We’re only able to accept online entries as per the SACU rules (last date to enter 21st Oct) One Event Licences are available, when filling in the online entry form. See Below.

HEC'S FIRST EVENT AN EXCELLENT WEEEKND OF TRAINING & RACING
So.....Our first organised event has been and gone and what a weekend it was, a successful training event on the Saturday with 10 participants who undertook training from the expertise of Ricky Mair and Andrew Bisset, our thanks go to them for providing their services and supporting our newly established club and also thanks to Ian Bisset for assisting with the training.
On Sunday morning the team put the finishing touches to the course and won the battle with the resident sheep who were determined to knock down every post and rip down the tapes. The race started at 11am with 55 competitors and we were blessed with excellent weather. At the end of the 3 hours the winner was Andrew Bisset who managed to compete 17 Laps, for full results, report and photos please follow the link below. Thanks again to all competitors, marshalls, officials and first aiders who played a part in making our first event a success.
